historymania.com:Oregon Wikigroup Project

Every two weeks an Oregon Wikigroup Project article will be chosen to add more content and subject matter to Oregon-related Wikipedia articles. Our pursuit is the production of articles conforming to featured articles standards.

The purpose of this project is to bring Wikipedians together in the pursuit of community and great article writing. And when we're finished, this will be something of which we can all be proud!

Previous projects can be found at /history.

Selecting the next project

The next project will be selected on March, 14, 2005.

  • Voting
    • Please, no opposing votes. This will only clutter up the page, and, they will not affect the outcome of the project. (see approval voting)
    • Any registered user may vote for as many articles as they would like (including their own nominations!)
    • To vote, edit the appropriate heading below, and add your support to the end of the list with # ~~~~. This will add your name, and a timestamp of when you voted.
    • A vote implies that assistance will be given to develop that article if selected as the Oregon Wikigroup project.
  • Tied nominations
    • In the event of a tie, voting will be extended for 24 hours until a nominated article has more votes than the other.
  • Nominating articles
    • To nominate an article, please click the edit link to the right of Nominate an article, copy and paste the template that is commented out, edit it, and submit.
  • Choosing articles for nomination:
    • While any Oregon related article can be nominated, there are some conditions that would describe a good article for an Oregon Wikigroup project:
      • The article does not exist, or is a stub
      • The article is three paragraphs or less
      • The article is 1000 characters or less
      • The state of the article is poor; article requires major cleanup, revision, or rewriting
  • Other information regarding nominations
    • If you nominate an article please describe why this would make a good project and how it would enhance the Oregon category.
    • Nominated articles that have not become a group project will be removed one week from the last vote's timestamp.

  • Current collaboration projects will sport the following template (or some variation):
