Zamir Jafri (January 1, 1916 – May 16, 1999) was a Pakistani poet. He became famous for his Urdu humorous poetry and also wrote humorous columns in the newspapers and periodicals. After graduating from University of the Punjab, he joined the army’s public relation department and retired as a major. One of his sons is a two star general and serving in the intelligence department, ISI, of the Pakistan army while another lives in the US. He published more than a dozen books in Urdu.
