Youth and Young Manhood, was the debut album from Kings of Leon, released in August 2003.

The Kings of Leon, when they first emerged with with their Holy Roller Novocaine LP , quickly became one of the most interesting and original bands on the indie scene. This eagerly anticipated debut album was praised highly by critics but seemed to divide music fans. While some appreciated the album's unique blend of southern rock and indie (influences included The Strokes), others saw it as dull and clichèd, with lyrics often unintelligible.

"Molly's Chambers", "Red Morning Light", "Wasted Time" and "California Waiting" were all released as singles and "Red Morning Light" featured on the soundtrack to the game Fifa Football 2003 .
