The XPeRT Keyboard design concepts are as follows: Opposing hand key sequences (digraphs) are increased from 50% on the standard (Qwerty) layout to 83% on XPeRT, in order to promote speed. Movement of commonly used letters is kept to a minimum, to ease transition. A+N move and there is a second E key (13% of all letters in English). International patent applictaion PCT CA03-01461.
