William E. Caswell

William E. Caswell (1947September 11, 2001) was a physicist from Silver Spring.

He did undergraduate studies for his physics degree at the University of Maryland at College Park and then studied at Princeton University where he received his PhD. Some of his work involved summation of Feynman loops for calculation of elementary particle properties.

Dr. Caswell eventually left academic work and came to work for the Naval Surface Weapons Center , first at White Oak, Maryland, formerly the Naval Ordnance Laboratory.

He was on American Airlines Flight 77 which crashed into the Pentagon.
