Waterford Crystal is the brand name for a type of glassware produced in Waterford, Ireland. The business was founded in 1793 by George and William Penrose . Their company closed, reportedly due to excessive taxation of the product. In 1947, the company was restarted due to the fine reputation of the original glassware.

Guided tours of the Waterford Crystal factory are currently available.
