Victor Olufemi Adebowale

Victor Olufemi Adebowale, Baron Adebowale CBE (21 July 1962— ) is a British politician and chief executive of the charity, Turning Point.

Adebowale was born to Ezekiel Adebowale and Grace and was educated at Thornes House School, Wakefield and the Polytechnic of East London . He worked in local government and in the field of substance misuse before joining Turning Point, the leading charity in the field of youth social exclusion.

Adebowale awarded a CBE in 2000 and in 2001 was named one of the first 'people's peers' and created a life peer as Baron Adebowale, of Thornes in the County of West Yorkshire. He sits in the House of Lords as a crossbencher. He was a member of the New Deal Task Force.
