Proposal to expand CSD
Hi, I noticed you voted against proposal XI with the reason "3 days are too short to improve the article". Maybe too short to improve, but the proposal doesn't work like VfD, where the article has to improve to surive. If you just believe the article has potential or isnt blatant vanity, it would be enough to remove a template from the page to stop the deletion. The page will than propably go to VfD.
Btw prop. III states such articles can be deleted immediately. If no time is enough, why 3 days are too short?

Adminship
I came across your name one day when checking your watchlist, and I was impressed, upon looking over
your edit history and talk pages, at the degree of community involvement you have shown and people
you have impressed during your brief tenure here. If you're interested, when you get over 1000
edits, I'd gladly nominate you to adminship. Cheers,

I'd like to be nominated when I get 1000 edits. Thank you for offering to do so. Bart133 (t) 03:10, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- What exactly do you mean by "over 1000 edits"? Bart133 (t) 03:02, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Since I now have over 1100 edits, feel free to nominate me whenever you get around to it (assuming you want to). Bart133 (t) 20:34, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)
B-36
A while ago, I brought up that my computer won't finish loading Image:Convair B-36.jpg (see
talk:Convair B-36). Here's a thought: if you can give me the source for that image and let me
re-upload it (or maybe if you re-upload it yourself), that might fix the problem.
But it doesn't matter, because I still haven't done anything to my software. I'll try that first,
then let you know if it doesn't work so we can keep troubleshooting. Until then, I'd just like to
know what you think of my idea. →Iñgōlemo← talk donate 07:43, 2005 Feb 13 (UTC)
I resaved the image in a different program; it makes it much smaller to boot. Try that one! —Morven 17:00, Feb 13, 2005 (UTC)
It now works. Thanks man. By the way, it's an awesome image. I'm glad you found it.

March 11 05 - Just discovered wikis recently. I'm hooked. As a B-36 fanatic, I'm grateful to see such a comprehensive article. I made a handful of edits to the B-36 page, added some details, corrected a minor error, and added a link to Goleta Air Museum, which has a good collection of info especially on FICON and TOM-TOM. Need to link to the Mk 17 H-bomb article if it exists. If not, hey - it's Wikipedia, right? :-)
I believe it was you who added the statistic on '900 hours' of maintenance needed for each hour
aloft. Where exactly did you get that statistic? It means that for each transcontinental flight
it needed 5 years of 24/7 maintenance to fly again! →Iñgōlemo← talk 19:11, 2005 Mar 25 (UTC)
March 28 05 - re 900 hours of maintenance per flight hour - IIRC that number came either from Dennis Jenkins' book "Magnesium Overcast" or from the [| B-36/Cold War vet's forum at Delphi ]. [| Here's a specific thread on maintenance ]. It doesn't specifically reference "900 hours" but you can see that it took a *lot* of work to keep the beast ready to fly. If you consider all the back-office and shop personnel involved, the number seems reasonable - for a 24-hour flight 900 staff-days. One post on the thread says, "I have heard that there were 95 maintenance hours for every hour of flight.I certainly have no quarrel with that figure." It may be that 90 became 900 via the game of 'telephone'.
I'll correct the B-36 entry and add a link to that thread in References.
Minor barnstar
I've given you a minor barnstar for your aircraft categorization work and your countless template fixes. Anar kaluva tielyanna! 10:21, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Inaugural WikiWings
Hi Ingoolemo. I'd like to award you the inaugural
WikiWings award for your work on the
C-108 Flying Fortress article in January. The effort you put in is especially appreciated for such an obscure and unglamorous aircraft. Many thanks and please keep up the good work. --
Rlandmann 23:50, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for your kind words - and sorry for not replying earlier. Most of my wikitime of late is already spoken for in tidying up the avalanche of aircraft stubs we had in February. You've already correctly surmised why I won't display a WikiWings on my own page, but the thought is sincerely appreciated. Stay tuned for February's winner! --Rlandmann 03:11, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Return of the Untagged Image project
You were kind enough to contribute to the Wikipedia:Untagged images project; I beg to draw your attention to part 2 of the project - there are about 12,000 more images in need of tagging. Any assistance you could provide would be most welcome. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk)
Bomber chart
Are you willing to release this image into the public domain? I'm willing to, but I naturally
need your permission, too. [[User:Ingoolemo|]] 07:12, 2005 Mar 2 (UTC)
I have some misgivings about releasing the chart to the public domain, but I wouldn't have any problem agreeing to the "Do whatever you want" terms of {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}. What are your thoughts on this? - RedWordSmith 18:56, Mar 5, 2005 (UTC)
Whatever you're willing to do, I'm willing to do. So I have no problem whatsoever with
copyrighted free use. I'll add the copyright tag to the image, unless you tell me otherwise.

Colditz Glider
Hi, i've been working on the Colditz Castle article and there happens to be a subsection on the Colditz "Cock" Glider. As I know dick all about aviation beyond the B-26 Marauder, would you be so kind as to go over it and explain the aviation terms in laymans language for me? 01:25, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)
welcome
Thanks for the welcome! Please don't create empty pages because of a dislike for redlinks though, redlinks exist for a reason, turning them blue without there actually being any content is misleading. --Weyes 13:51, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)
PS. You can reply to this by clicking on the "edit" link - It's a sychronised thread :) However, you'll probably need to take advantage of the {{Purge|(link text)}} template to see the changes. 08:39, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)
