Hello Humus! I am currently tagging images and I've come across this image: Image:Rishonleyehuda.jpg. I am pretty sure that it qualifies for fair use, but since it is a product of the military it may be in the public domain? I don't pretend to know anything about British copyright laws, so I've tagged this image as {{fairuseunsure}}. If you know better than I could you drop by and tag that image correctly? Or you could leave me a message on my talk page and I'll get 'er done for ya. Thanks! --MaxPower 20:23, 2005 Jan 13 (UTC)

Children and minors in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Greetings, Humus sapiens. I find the above title to be far more NPOV than, and as such, vastly superior to the POV title Israeli violence against Palestinian children – you can provisionally count on my support for this supplantation. That said, I am a little concerned that the word "violence against" was dropped since clearly this is the focus of the article. Regards, El_C 10:53, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Interesting, I never took it to imply intentionality so much as a description of violence being directed against (whether accidentally or intentionally) children and minors. But, I am not really in a stage where I can take a firm position either way as I have not been involved in (nor even privy to) these discussions which preceded this specific title change. I should study these prior to making any further comment. At any rate, as mentioned, I am provisionally extending my support for the new title – most certainly over the hitherto title. What I do wish to commend you and the other supportive editors for is merging Palestinian violence against Israeli children with Israeli violence against Palestinian children under the new title. That is something I have argued for all along and I am pleased to see it finally materialize.

I am glad that Alberuni was banned. Now, to clean up.

Zionism and Racism

Bravo for your talk response!

Perhaps we can collaborate on certain subjects?

Hope to hear from you

Whitewashing Jew

Please do not remove my link that I added on Jew. It is accurate and very informative. Plus it's the number 1 entry you get when googling Jew. VonBluvens 11:01, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Eugenia Ginzburg

Looking for more biographical info on Ginzburg.

Some articles about Eugenia Ginzburg in reference books on Russian Literature mention that she also wrote a couple of short works about growing up in the Soviet Union in the 1920s. Do you know about these? Do you know if they have been translated into English?

I don't remember reading any of those. I can try to find out, but I prefer to read her in the original ru. Humus sapiensTalk 23:28, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Your opinion requested

I'm having an edit conflict with someone on Mizrahi Jew; if you have the time, would you mind expressing your opinion on the subject? Jayjg (talk) 21:53, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thank you!

Hi Humus, this is just to say thank you (properly) for your support in my adminship nomination, which I really appreciate. If you see me doing anything wrong at any point, or if I can help in any way, I hope you'll give me shout. Best, SlimVirgin 04:41, Mar 23, 2005 (UTC)

Golan Heights

Hi Humus, thought you may want to take a look at User:Yuber's edits who seems to think that the Golan Heights should not be part of Category:Geography of Israel, take a look at his input...Thanks. IZAK 08:47, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out. Humus sapiensTalk 10:47, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)
The editors there appear to be applying a double standard; it's quite distasteful and frustrating. Jayjg (talk) 05:49, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Image:KKK holocaust a zionist hoax.jpg

If you have the information, it would be neat to know what the background of this image is (i.e. when and where was it shot?) That looks better than just "here's some random KKK members", if you catch my drift. :-)

Alternatively or additionally, since you affirm it's fair use copyrighted, giving the original source would be nice. JRM 10:27, 2005 Apr 5 (UTC)

I noticed this image too, and am slightly curious about its origin. I wonder if these are "traditional" KKK, with the Hitler salute and the Holocaust denial emphasis they're acting rather more like Neonazis.--Pharos 10:52, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I have scanned it from a (rather thin) library book about Neonazis, and just as you, I was looking for some specifics but unfortunately none was given. I can try to borrow the book again and at least provide its title/page. Humus sapiensTalk 08:06, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hamas Image Description

In reply to [2], Thanks for doing that! I'll try to add a similar description to the Fatah image as well. --MPerel( talk | contrib) 06:28, Apr 14, 2005 (UTC)

Many Languages

Thanks for your acknowledgement. And no, I don't know all these languages but languages are a hobby of mine, and Jewish topics are always of interest. Slovak is a Slovic language, so it seems you might be correct, I will continue to research. I have now made all the entries initial cap. I have also added Arabic and Farsi, I just had to figure out how to display text right-to-left. Grika 14:05, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

You'll probably find the edits of User:Islamist enlightening. Jayjg (talk) 02:26, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
