United Counties Football League

The United Counties Football League (also known after its sponsor as the Eagle Bitter United Counties League) is an English football league covering Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and the surrounding area. Its upper Premier Division is at step 5 of the National League System, feeding in to the Southern Football League Division One East.

Its lower First division is above three smaller local leagues in the football pyramid, extending below the base of the recognized NLS: the Northampton Town League, Bedford & District League, and Peterborough & District League.

There are currently 22 clubs in the Premier Division and 18 in the First Division. The League also has knockout cups for the first and reserve teams of member clubs, and its member clubs are eligible for the FA Vase.
