USS Cushing

Five ships in the United States Navy have been named USS Cushing for William Barker Cushing.

  • The first, Cushing (TB-1) , was a torpedo boat commissioned in 1890, served until her decommissioning in 1898.
  • The fourth, Cushing (DD-797) , was a Fletcher-class destroyer, commissioned in 1944, served in World War II and decommissioned in 1960.
