Turquoise (color)

Turquoise is a mid-value color blend of blue and green. It has a sweet feminine feel, while darker shades are often more sophisticated and elegant. It is also the color of a valuable and popular mineral often turned into jewelry. It is closely associated with the Middle East and the American Southwest. The term comes from a degeneration of "Turkish" and the color is present in the coasts of Turkey. Teal, blue-green , and aqua are all synonyms of turquoise.
