Turners Cross

Turners Cross, the home pitch of Cork City F.C.. Nowadays it is nicknamed 'The Cross' but it had been nicknamed in the past 'The Box'. This is is where Pluckett Carter's book title comes from From The Lodge to The Box, The Lodge being 'Flower Lodge' in Blackrock.

Flower Lodge was owned by the Ancient Order of Hiberians and then sold it to the GAA, who have now called it 'Pairc Ui Rinn' after the late Christy Ring, the famous Cork Hurler.
