Turnberry is a golf resort on the Atlantic Coast of Scotland. It is a commercial operation which is open to the public and its current official name is "The Westin Turnberry Resort".

There are three golf courses:

• The Ailsa Course, which has staged The Open Championship several times. In 1977 it was the venue for a famous Open Championship duel between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.
• The Kintyre Course: eighteen holes.
• The Arran Course: nine holes.

Turnberry also features "The Colin Montgomerie Links Golf Academy", a five star hotel dating from 1906, lodge and cottage accommodation, and the usual facilities of an upmarket country club style resort.
