Trujillo Alto is a municipality of Puerto Rico that was was founded in 1801. Trujillo Alto holds its festivities in September and in 2001 it conmemorated its 200 year history. Each year Trujillo Alto celebrates "El maraton del Arecostao'" which is a very popular marathon in the city. Trujillo Alto has no important tourist attractions but it is part of the urban area of Puerto Rico which consists of 6 other cities.
