Tony Parsons (British journalist)

Tony Parsons (born 1955) is a British journalist and author.

Parsons began his career as a music journalist on the NME before moving on to more general topics. Later, he wrote for the Daily Telegraph, before his current column for The Mirror and appeared on the arts review programme Newsnight Review on BBC2. Briefly, Parsons hosted a series on Channel Four called Big Mouth.

Parsons' novels include Man and Boy, Man and Wife, The Family Way and One for my Baby. The books focus on the difficulties of thirty-something year old new men. The style is reminiscient of Nick Hornby

Parsons married fellow journalist Julie Burchill. They divorced acriminously and Parsons has been quoted as saying "my career is my revenge on Burchill".
