The Texan is a minor character in the novel Catch-22. Yossarian meets him in the hospital. The Texan is friendly and is the only one who will talk to the Soldier in White. When the soldier dies, Dunbar and Yossarian accuse him of murder. Eventually, the Texan drives all the patients from the ward, with the exception of one of the C.I.D. Investigators.
