Thái Bình (or Thaibinh) is a coastal east province in the Red River Delta region of Vietnam, named after the Vietnamese name for the Pacific Ocean: Thái Bình Dương. It is about 18 km from Nam Ðinh , 70 km from Hai Phong, and 110 km from Ha Noi. Thai Binh has a township called Thai Binh town and seven districts: Quynh Phu, Hung Ha, Thai Thuỵ, Ðong Hung, Vu Thu, Kien Xuong and Tien Hai.
