Technocrat.net is a collaborative weblog, like the well-known slashdot. It covers technology news, with a particular focus on technology policy- i.e how political decisons affect technology. It is the creation of open-source advocate Bruce Perens and is based on slash.

The forum's creator describes the site as "more mature than slashdot". For example, Perens' site does not allow Anonymous Cowards to post and focuses on political issues rather than more light-hearted topics such as gaming.
