	Susan Strasberg Susan Strasberg (May 22, 1938 – January 21, 1999) was an American actress. The daughter of theatre director and drama coach Lee Strasberg and his wife, the stage actress Paula Strasberg , Strasberg originated the role of Anne Frank in the Broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frank in 1955, and was nominated for a Tony Award for this role in 1956.
