Super Sunday

In the United States, Super Sunday generally refers to the Sunday of the National Football League's championship game, the Super Bowl. This Sunday is often referred to more specifically as "Super Bowl Sunday."

Another day commonly called "Super Sunday" is any Sunday in the U.S. presidential primary season where a large number of delegates are available for a candidate to win.

Any Sunday on which an anticipated event takes place, usually by an organized group, can be called Super Sunday. This comes from one of the uses of the adjective super in English to mean "better than usual."
