Sudbury Branch Line

The Sudbury Branch Line is the railway line from Marks Tey to Sudbury. All passenger services on the line are operated by 'one', and the typical service is a shuttle from Marks Tey to Sudbury, although some trains are extended to Colchester Town . Trains are currently formed of either Class 150 or Class 153 diesel multiple units, although more modern Class 156 units will be introduced in mid-2005.

The connection to the Great Eastern Main Line faces north, meaning trains cannot run directly between the branch line and London without reversing.

The East Anglian Railway Museum is located at Chappel station, and steam trains are operated for a short distance over the viaduct.
