Stig Olai Kapskarmo

Stig Olai Kapskarmo (born October 27, 1980) is a Norwegian politician and teacher.

He was born in Bærum, and was educated in Nordic language and literature, in history and political science at University of Oslo. He was Deputy Member to the County Council of Bærum 1999-2003, and during this period was also a member and/or deputy member in the local Committee for Childhood and Education, Committee of Culture, Environment and Transport, the Aestethic Council of Bærum and the Youth Council of Bærum. Since 1999, he has been a member of the School Board of Levre School and has also served as member of the School Board of Løkeberg School .

Since 2003, he has been a member of the County Council of Bærum and Conservative Spokesman on Culture and the Arts.

Kapskarmo has been a leader of the environmental organization Bærumsmarkas Venner (Save the Bærum Fields) since 2004. Kapskarmo is a member of the Executive Committee of the local conservative party (Bærum Høyre), where he also serves as Head of Communication. He is deputy chairman of his party district and member of the Conservative Party Committee of Representatives.
