Song Dynasty (420-479)

　

The Song Dynasty (宋朝, previous spelling Sung) (420-479) was first of the four Southern Dynasties in China, followed by the Qi Dynasty. It was found by the Liu family.

The dynasty is often called the Liu Song Dynasty to distinguish it from a later Song Dynasty (960-1279) of China that is much more famous and significant.
