Sir Charlie Palmer Day

Sir Charlie Palmer Day (February 12th) is an annual commemoration amongst fans of Notts County football club remembering the club's 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in 1994.

Charlie Palmer etched his name into Notts County folklore forever when he scored an 86th minute goal to ensure that Notts would have their first victory over Forest since 1982.

The day is commemorated usually by Notts County supporters watching videos of the match, wearing a '2-1' badge which appeared shortly after the win and by generally winding up Forest supporting friends and relatives.
