Shang-Pai-Shang (Long White Sacred Mountains Nation), is a section of Manchuria which extends from Liaoning and Kirin Provinces in present day Inner Manchuria. The territory has been, successively, the home of the Mohe tribes and Jurchen nation, occupied by the ancient Korean kingdoms of Koguryo, Paekche, Shilla, Parhae, and in the Liao and Khitan kingdoms.
According to Sheng-Wu-Chi ("Our august dynasty military realizations inform"), in a Ming chronicle, living in this territory were the Tungus tribes of Neyen and Yalu. Later it formed part of the Manchu Chin Empire, created by Nurhaci.
This region is one of the last original primitive Manchu territories to remain in Chinese control.
