The Port Authority was established by the Laws of Florida, Chapter 65.2270, for the purpose of constructing, equipping, and operating a port facility. The Board members of the Port Authority are poointed by the Seminole County Board, who approves the Port Authority budget, levies taxes (if neccessary) and must approve any debt issuance.
