Secondary forest

Secondary Forest refers to a forest or woodland area which has re-grown after being deforested. Secondary forest tends to have trees closer spaced than normal or primary forest. Secondary forest also tends to contain more undergrowth .

Secondary forestation is common in areas where slash-and-burn farming is used.
