Schengen

Schengen is a wine-growing village in south-eastern Luxembourg near the point where the borders of Germany, France and Luxembourg come together. It is part of the commune of Remerschen in Remich canton. Its population in 2004 was 425.

The village became famous on 14 June 1985, when the Schengen treaty was signed aboard the ship Princesse Marie-Astrid on the Moselle River at Schengen .
