Sakaiminato (境港市; -shi lit. Sakai seaport) is a city located in the northern area of Tottori Prefecture, Japan. Located at the northern end of Yumigahama Peninsula, it faces the Sea of Japan, another sea Nakaumi and Sakai channel.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 36,910 and the density of 1,283.83 persons per km². The total area is 28.75 km².

The seaport of Sakaiminato is one of most famous fishery ports in Japan and is the major port of Tottori prefecture. Nearby Miho airbase is run by the Japan Defense Agency but is also availably for civilian internal flights, being generally referred to as 'Yonago Airport'.

The city was officially founded on April 1, 1956. Recently a merger with Yonago and other neighboring municipalities was proposed but the majority of the citizenry voted against this, and Sakaiminato is set to remain an automonous municipality within Tottori-ken.
