Sackville—Eastern Shore is the name of a federal electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada. Its population is 83,655. (2001)

Geography

The district includes the part of the Halifax Regional Municipality located on the Atlantic coast between Lake Charlotte and Jeddore Harbour in the east to Halifax Harbour in the west excluding the former city of Dartmouth and the former town of Cole Harbour . It also includes the northern suburbs within the Halifax RM of the Halifax-Dartmouth area. The area is 1,328 km².

History

The electoral district was created in 2003, 78.3% from Sackville—Musquodoboit Valley—Eastern Shore , 14% from Halifax West and 7.7% from Dartmouth . The district also existed from 1996 to 1999. It was created from Central Nova and Dartmouth and was disolved into Halifax and Sackville—Musquodoboit Valley—Eastern Shore .
