Ryd is a residential area in Linköping, Sweden, best known for housing the bulk of the Linköpings Universitet (LiU) student body. They live in houses specifically assigned to LiU's students. Many of these homes are in the form of corridor rooms, where a number of students have one bedroom each but share one kitchen. Constructed largely in one piece, there is generally no architectural variety.

The Ryd population outside of the student area is very poor by Swedish standards and includes a lot of immigrants.
