The Rova Saxophone Quartet formed in October 1977 at the same time as their less-adventerous but more well known colleagues the World Saxophone Quartet.

Members: Bruce Ackley , Larry Ochs , Jon Raskin , Steve Adams . Former: Andrew Voigt .

They have collaborated with many musicians and composers, including Terry Riley (Chanting the Light of Foresight), Fred Frith, and Alvin Curran.
