Rona Ambrose (born March 15, 1969 in Valleyview, Alberta ) is a Conservative member of the Canadian House of Commons. She is the Member of Parliament from Edmonton—Spruce Grove , and has been since 2004. She is a former Communication consultant and public policy consultant. She is the official oppositions Intergovermental Affairs critic. On February 16, 2005, she made headlines after making a stinging remark in Parliament directed to Liberal MP Ken Dryden saying "working women want to make their own choices, we don't need old white guys telling us what to do," in reference to the Liberal child care plan.
