Ron Brown (athlete)

Ronald James "Ron" Brown (born March 31, 1961) is a former American athlete and American football player, winner of gold medal in 4x100 m relay at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Ron Brown was fourth in 100 m and ran the second leg in the American 4x100 m relay team, which won the gold medal with a new world record of 37.83 at the Olympic Games held in his hometown in 1984.

After the Olympics, Brown joined the Los Angeles Rams and played there until 1989 when he moved to Los Angeles Raiders in 1990. Brown ended his football career after the 1991, when he played again for Los Angeles Rams.
