Romans-sur-Isère or Romans is a town in South-East of France in the Drôme département.

Geography

It is located on the Isère River and 18 km North-East from Valence. With the neighbour town Bourg-de-Péage there are more than 50000 inhabitants in the urban area.

Romans is not far from the Vercors, it takes only 20 minutes by car.

There's a market on Fridays and Sundays in the morning, where many tasteful fruits are sold.

Transportation

Access to the town is easy with the highway between Valence and Grenoble, which can be taken for free between Valence and Romans, and furthermore with the TGV (high-speed train). There's a TGV station between Valence and Romans, and so it takes, in best of cases, two hours and twelve minutes to go from Paris to the station, and then add approximately five minutes with a car.
