Rock Forest is a town on the Magog River in the Eastern Townships in Quebec, Canada. Population (2001): 18,667.

The site was first populated by English, Scottish and Irish immigrants during the 19th century, and was given the name "Drop Off" from the spot on the Magog River where a first wooden bridge was built.

The name Rock Forest was first used in the 1870s, although it did not become official until the 1920s. It came from the name of the large castle-like residence of one Parker Nagel.

On January 1, 2002, Rock Forest, along with other localities, merged with the city of Sherbrooke. Rock Forest became part of borough 5 in the new city.

Rock Forest is a vibrant, growing community, with its commercial artery, Bourque Boulevard, and growing population.
