Robert Todd Carroll, Ph.D., is a philosophy professor at Sacramento City College. He has has written two books, Becoming a Critical Thinker — A Guide for the New Millennium (ISBN 0536600600) and The Skeptic's Dictionary: A Collection of Strange Beliefs, Amusing Deceptions, and Dangerous Delusions (ISBN 0471272426).
He received his Ph.D. from the University of California at San Diego in 1974.
A long time advocate of critical thinking, in 1994 he set up the Skeptic's Dictionary online, initially consisting of 50 articles. The site has now grown to over 400 articles and attracts over a million page views per month.
