Ravenna, Seattle, Washington

Ravenna is a neighborhood in northeastern Seattle, Washington, USA, named after Ravenna, Italy. It incorporated in 1906 and was annexed to Seattle in 1907.

Ravenna is bounded on the west by 15th Avenue N.E., beyond which lies Roosevelt; on the north by N.E. 75th Street, beyond which lie Maple Leaf and Wedgwood; on the east by 45th Avenue N.E., beyond which lies Hawthorne Hills , Windermere, and Sand Point; and on the south by N.E. Ravenna Boulevard, N.E. Blakeley Street, and Calvary Cemetery, beyond which lie the University District and University Village. That portion of south-central Ravenna adjacent to the University Village shopping complex is often considered part of the University Village neighborhood, and Ravenna east of 25th Avenue N.E. is also referred to as Bryant or Ravenna-Bryant.

Ravenna Park is located in the neighborhood's southwest corner, stretching from 15th to 25th Avenues N.E. Ravenna Creek runs through the park.

Ravenna's main thoroughfares are N.E. 55th and 65th Streets (east- and westbound) and 15th, 20th, 25th, 35th, and 40th Avenues N.E. (north- and southbound). There are small commercial clusters on 25th Avenue between Blakeley and 55th, on 55th east of 25th, on 65th between 20th and 25th, and along Blakeley.
