Radio London

There have been two radio stations called Radio London:

  • An advertising funded independent pirate radio station, Wonderful Radio London or Big L, broadcasting on 266 meters reaching most of England from off the Essex coast, 1964 - 1967. Radio London was closed by an act of parliament which made it illegal to supply or advertise on offshore radio stations. Radio London had a modern sound loosely based on the successful American radio stations of the time using radio personalities to introduce popular music and to entertain the listeners.
