Pyotr Ivanovich KafarovPyotr Ivanovich Kafarov (Пётр Ива́нович Кафа́ров), also known by his monk name Palladiy (Палла́дий), (1817 – 1878), Russian sinologist. He has designed a Cyrillization system for the Chinese language (it is known as the Palladiy system and is officially accepted in Russia).
