Putney railway station serves Putney in the London Borough of Wandsworth, in south London, and is on the boundary of Travelcard Zone 2 and Travelcard Zone 3. The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by South West Trains. The station has four platforms.

The typical off-peak service from the station is:

• 16tph (trains per hour) to London Waterloo, of which:
  • 10 run direct via Clapham Junction
  • 2 run via Richmond, Kingston and Wimbledon
  • 4 run via the Hounslow loop (2tph in each direction)
• 2tph to Weybridge
• 2tph to Windsor & Eton Riverside
