Portslade is a town in East Sussex, England. It is part of the Brighton and Hove conurbation. Notable buildings in the town include Portslade Manor and the parish church of St Nicholas. The town is disected from east to west by the old A27 road from Brighton to Worthing, to the north of this road the town is called Portslade Village. The southernmost part of the town is called Portslade-by-Sea.

Portslade has been identified with the Roman port Novus Portus mentioned in Ptolemy's Geography of the second century AD. the name of the town is said to stem from the latin 'Portus Adur' being at the time of the roman settlement of the area the point where the river Adur met the sea (now at nearby Shoreham by Sea).

Portslade harbour remains a busy seaport.
