Poltergeist: The Legacy is a 1996 Canadian/American horror television series. It was created by Richard Barton Lewis .

The production companies were PMP Legacy Productions , Showtime Network Inc. and Trilogy Entertainment Group . Special effects were creatd by Canadian companies C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures , Gajdecki Visual Effects, Lindala Make-Up Effects Inc., Rainmaker Digital Pictures and American Pixel Envy and Velocity Visuals . The series was a spinoff from the Poltergeist movies. The series was filmed in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia and lasted 88 episodes through 1999.

Plot:

• The Legacy is a secret society created to fight against evil in the world. The story is based on the San Francisco, California branch team which includes: Dr. Derek Rayne (Derek de Lint ), Rachel Corrigan (Helen Shaver); priest, Philip C. (Patrick Fitzgerald ); ex-Navy SEAL, Nick Boyle (Martin Cummins ); and researcher/psychic Alex Moreau (Robbi Chong ).
