Peristeri, older forms Peristerio and Peristerion is a suburban community in Athens area (Attica), Greece. It is located about 5 km NW of the downtown area. The municipality is bordered by the Cephissus/Cephissos River, Athinon Avenue (GR-8), Chaidari in the west and Petroupoli in the northwest. The size is around 10 km². Peristeri includes the northern half of the Athens Industrial Area . Its main streets are Kennedy Street and Thívon Street. The Athens Bus Terminal is in the east slightly east of Peristeri along with its nearest station in Sepolia , a part of Athens.
Peristeri has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, a post office and squares (plateies). Peristeri has a secondary junior division football/soccer team named AEF Peristeriou .
