Peggy Mitchell is a fictional character in the British soap opera EastEnders. She is played by Barbara Windsor.

Peggy became landlady of the Queen Vic in November 1994 and married former landlord Frank Butcher in April 1999 , having won a battle against breast cancer.

Peggy's three children are Phil, Grant, and Samantha. Phil and Grant were hard men who had several brushes with the law and are currently absent from the series — Phil fled Walford in December 2003 while on the run from custody having being framed for armed robbery by Den Watts, while Grant had fled to Rio de Janeiro in October 1999 after it was feared that he had drowned when his car crashed into the River Thames.
