Paul Beresford

Sir Paul Alexander Beresford (born April 6, 1946 in Levin, New Zealand, educated in Richmond Nelson & Otago Uni) is an English politician and dentist. He has been Member of Parliament for the Mole Valley since 1997 and previously represented Croydon Central between 1992 and 1997. He is a member of the Conservative Party.

He was leader of the London Borough of Wandsworth during Margaret Thatcher, and pioneered the practice of hiring contractors to do jobs that council workers had previously done.
