Patrick Graham

Patrick Graham was an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He was approx. 20 years old, and a Private in the 90th Regiment (later The Cameronians - Scottish Rifles) , British Army during the Indian Mutiny when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC.

On 17 November 1857 at Lucknow, India, Private Graham brought in a wounded comrade under very heavy fire.

His Victoria Cross is displayed at the Cameronians Regimental Museum (Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland).
