Papal Cross

The Papal Cross (or more commonly, Pope's Cross) is a large white cross situated in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland. The Cross was erected for the visit of Pope John Paul II in 1979. At the Cross, the Pope said Mass for over a million people.

Following his death on April 2, 2005, people gathered in tribute to Pope John Paul at the Cross, leaving flowers and tokens of rememberance for him.
