Padre Burgos is the third town from Maasin city . It is a very clean, and a peaceful town in Southern Leyte. The people here are very humble, nature-loving, and very hospitable. Padre Burgos is also famous of its "WHITE SAND BEACHES" like Tangkaan Beach, where you can see the beautiful island of Limasawa; the Likay-Likay Beach, where you can go fishing and experience the breath taking view underwater; the Canlusay Resort, in which they call it "Small Boracay"; the floating Balsa of Bas; and many more!!!

Padre Burgos is also a haven of ANGELS all over the region.It has an orphanage called "KINDERHILFE PHILIPINEN",managed and sponsored by Mr. Georgen Schnight, a German Citizen.Many foreigners all over the world,where trying to take an eye with this village full of angels not only from the town itself but also from other towns of LEYTE.

Padre Burgos is also known for its BUDBOD (suman), a sticky rice which is very sweet and very tasty. It has also a very beautiful park designed and beautified by Mr.Schnight.
